Bea Halstead is an artist and nonprofit professional in the Denver Metro Area.
This website includes a variety of art forms that I have been interested in since I began creating and learning in 1995. My inspiration has come from traditional visual arts- like watercolor landscape paintings – to more non-traditional performance expressions that are lesser known in the cultural community. My creativity has never known boundaries for subject matter, medium, or conventional definitions and styles, and I love all of them. I hope you enjoy the journey through my lifetime of work as a multi-media arts producer and cultural entrepreneur.
I spent twenty years using my undergraduate degree in Graphic Design and Marketing Communications to rise into Director-level and global strategy roles in Global Digital Marketing and Web Operations. I became interested in cultural leadership work in 2012 when I became the Medtronic Women’s Network Chairperson for four years. The opportunity provided access to skill building program development and social impact measurement along with executive leadership. I was honored with developing several diversity, inclusion, and equity education programs, events, and HR process development.
I returned to academia in 2022 with a Master’s in Art and Cultural Management – Advocacy and Outreach, focusing on nonprofit fundraising and leadership, and will graduate with a 4.0 GPA in August 2024. The re-career from for-profit work to a nonprofit is my life’s passion. I plan to support nonprofit organizations with Executive leadership roles on a local, national, or global scale, utilizing my for-profit and non-profit experience in the art, culture, and social justice.
I volunteer with a local community service-based nonprofit and am a marketing chair at a local social club. I will continue to volunteer time for local nonprofit art and culture organizations in the Denver Metro Area.
